My position as Relationship Manager at MMFA enables me to combine career and service – a great combination. Through both GiftLegacy and the Common Fund I enjoy contact with people across the country who share the common goals of love for Christ and enabling the Moravian Church to expand and continue its ministry well into the future.

Originally from Charlotte, NC, Debbie graduated from Myers Park High School and attended Central Piedmont Community College. After working in insurance for several years, Debbie worked as secretary, first, for Peace Moravian Church and later for a local Lutheran congregation. While residing in Bethlehem, PA, Debbie served as Communication Assistant with the Interprovincial Board of Communication of the Moravian Church.

Debbie and her husband, Walter, moved to Winston-Salem in June of 2005 following Walter’s graduation from Moravian Theological Seminary in Bethlehem, PA, and his subsequent call to service for the Southern Province. Debbie enjoys serving in her congregation as well as sewing, reading, and gardening. She and Walter have one addition to their family, Angel, a loving dog they adopted a number of years ago.
